Automated packaging/sorting line – Malfini

Automated packaging/sorting line – Malfini

For MALFINI, a leading supplier of promotional textiles and workwear, we supplied a fully automated sorting/packaging line.

TMT’s sophisticated technology ensures the operation of the AutoStore robotic warehouse, the entire logistics from automated picking of the selected box to its closing, labelling and delivery of the order to the dispatch gravity slides.

Investing in automated warehouse and conveyor technology will help make better use of existing warehouse space, speeding up and streamlining order picking processes to improve service for e-commerce customers.

Automated sorting/packaging line

The line is designed to distribute empty cartons to the individual picking ports of the AutoStore warehouse. After being placed in the cartons, the goods are transported to the carton packing section where the cartons are automatically sealed. The packages are then automatically labelled for dispatch and sorted to the individual dispatch locations.

The line is divided into 4 areas

  • Stacking, transport and distribution of different types of cartons to the individual picking ports of the AutoStore warehouse
  • Two lines of packing of goods taken out of the AutoStore
  • Automatic closing of carton boxes, including transport of cartons with goods from the warehouse
  • Sorting of dispatched orders including automatic label application
